Services for Willie Mae Gideon, 83, Leagueville, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Leagueville Baptist Church with the Revs. Tom Bragdon and Billy Watson officiating.
Burial was in Leagueville Cemetery under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Gideon died Feb. 19 in a Tyler hospital.
She was born Oct. 27, 1916, in Leagueville community to the late Selman DeWitt and Ella Mae Hopson Smith and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Leagueville Baptist Church and preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Lee Gideon, and brother, Bruce P. Smith.
Survivors include son, C.L. Gideon, Leagueville; brothers, Selman G. Smith, Escondido, Calif., Mason L. Smith, Houston, and Wayne Smith, Leagueville; sisters, Ina Bess Owen, Brownsboro, and Dot Skrobanek, Humble; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Family received friends 4 - 5 p.m. Sunday at funeral home.
