Auto Crash Fatal To Athens Student After Graduation
Athens, Texas (Ap- - Riley Sue Hopson, 16, was killed and four other Athens High School students were injured in a 1-car accident following a school party Friday night.
The accident occurred when a small foreign car driven by Miss Hopson failed to negotiate a curve on the Stephens Lake Road as the girls were returning from a party staged after the graduation exercises.
Injured were Linda Palmer, Vicky Terry, Sharlet Shenault and Jo Adams.
Miss Hopson, a native of Jacksonville who recently moved here from Brownsboro, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Hopson.
