FUNERAL IS HELD FOR VETERAN THEATER MAN
Funeral services for W. G. Croney, who died Friday in a local sanitarium, were held Saturday afternoon at the residence of his sister, Mrs. W. D. Nevills, 5016 Gaston avenue. Dr. L N. D. Wells, pastor of the East Dallas Christian Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Croney is survived by his mother, Mrs. James H. Croney, and two sisters, Mrs. Nevills and Mrs. R. H. Seawell, all of Dallas.
Mr. Croney was a veteran theater manager of Dallas, having been in charge of the old Princess Theater for several years. The Princess in its day was one of the leading moving picture houses of Dallas and closed its doors only when the building it occupied at Elm and Akard streets was remodeled into a clothing store.
