Athens Negro Held Here
George Davis, negro charged with the murder of Constable John W. Hopson, who is alleged to have been shot and killed while attempting to arrest Davis on a burglary charge at Athens last week, is being held in the Dallas County jail pending trial.
Davis fled, following the shooting, and was arrested at Corsicana.
