Mother of local woman is buried
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna C. Palmer, 44, mother of Mrs. Mason Baker of Purvis, were held Monday, February 18 at 3 p.m. at the Wellman Chapel in Shreveport, La.
Mrs. Palmer died suddenly at home in Shreveport Saturday.
Officiating at the service were Rev. Jack Moore, pastor of the Life Tabernacle Church of Shreveport, and rev. Lyle Palmer, associate pastor. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport.
She was born in Houston, Tex. and lived in Lumberton while her husband was associated with Gulf Oil Company. She had lived in Shreveport off and on for a number of years.
Survivors included her husband, Frank H. Palmer, Sr. of Shreveport; three sons, Frank, Fred, and Timothy; two daughters, Mrs. Mason Baker of Purvis, and Peggy of Shreveport; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crawford, Sr.; three brothers and one sister.
