Mrs. Mary Blackwell To Be Buried Today
Magee - Mrs. Mary Blackwell, 85, died in the Methodist Convalescent home in Hattiesburg after an illness of two months. Mrs. Blackwell was a member of the Center Ridge Unity Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held from Center Ridge Unity Methodist Church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning with Rev. Bob Gorday in charge. Interment will be in Liberty cemetery.
The body will rest at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home chapel until funeral hour.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.V. Boatman of Hattiesburg, Mrs. W.B. Taylor, Greenville; five sons, Lawrence W. and Olyer of Mobile, Ala., and Mack Blackwell of Moss Point, 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Uncle Buster - obituary
Coleman Buster Kidd, 86, of Chandler, died Monday evening, January 23, 2017 in Tyler, Texas with family by his side. He was born on December 17, 1930 in Brownsboro. He was the son of Coleman and Bertha Kidd.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 26, at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler with Rev. David Luckert and Rev. Bryan Harkness officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25th from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
He was raised on a farm near Brownsboro and lived most all of his life in the Chandler/Brownsboro area. He married the love of his life Patsy Moffeit Kidd on October 1, 1949 and together they made a loving home for them and their four children. He was a self employed builder/contractor.
Coleman was preceded in death by his mother and father, Coleman and Bertha Kidd, his precious wife, Patsy Moffeit Kidd, a daughter, Joyce Faye Richardson, and his grandson, Terry Lee Kidd. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Earl, Paul, Neal, Jack, Verdon, Holland, Elton, and Bill Kidd. His sisters, Louise Gideon, Marlene Parker, Era Welch, Johnny Olson, Juanita Strickland, and Evelee Morman.
Mr. Kidd is survived by daughter, Anita Pollard and husband Sam of Chandler, sons, David Kidd and wife Kay of Chandler, Joe Kidd of Chandler, grandchildren, Tracy Delagarza and husband Raul of Chandler, Tammy Kidd of Chandler, Trista Thomison and husband Ty of Chandler, Shanda Booth and husband Tom of Chandler, Lyndie Wangler and husband Chris of Sunnyvale, Coleman R. Kidd and wife Lindy of Bullard, Cody Kidd and wife Elyse of Brownsboro, Landon Kidd of Troup, Samantha Kidd of Chandler, 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
He will always be remembered of his infectious smile and his deep love for his family. Rarely was he ever seen without being dressed in his cowboy hat and his well shined boots. This tall handsome cowboy has now gone home to be with his heavenly Father.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, honorary pallbearers are Dan Moffeit, Jim Moffeit, Luster Kidd and Greg Kidd.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff of Dr. Thomas Buzbee, staff of Briarcliff Nursing Home and memory care, and special gratitude to Nicky Black, Michelle Earle, and Anita Anthony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Chandler Building Fund, 507 N. Broad St., Chandler, TX 75758.

Virginia Faye Briggs obituary
Services for Virginia Faye Briggs, 63, were Saturday, March 24, 1990, at Calvary Temple Church in Dallas, Brother Hunt officiated.
Mrs. Briggs was born September 30, 1926, and died March 20, 1990. A resident of Balch Springs, she was employed by Rattener Clothing Mfg. as a sewing machine operator.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Sue Sanchez of Balch Springs; two granddaughters, Victoria and Amanda; a sister, Clara Hague of Commerce, Texas; a brother, A.L. Smith of Tyler, Texas; seven nieces; and three nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna C. Palmer, 44, mother of Mrs. Mason Baker of Purvis, were held Monday, February 18 at 3 p.m. at the Wellman Chapel in Shreveport, La.
Mrs. Palmer died suddenly at home in Shreveport Saturday.
Officiating at the service were Rev. Jack Moore, pastor of the Life Tabernacle Church of Shreveport, and rev. Lyle Palmer, associate pastor. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport.
She was born in Houston, Tex. and lived in Lumberton while her husband was associated with Gulf Oil Company. She had lived in Shreveport off and on for a number of years.
Survivors included her husband, Frank H. Palmer, Sr. of Shreveport; three sons, Frank, Fred, and Timothy; two daughters, Mrs. Mason Baker of Purvis, and Peggy of Shreveport; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crawford, Sr.; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for Lewis E. Larson, 79, of Frankston were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating.
Burial was in the Reese Cemetery.
Mr. Larson died in a Jacksonville hospital Wednesday, Jan 9, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 12, 1911 in Cherokee County, having lived most of his life at Reese before moving to Frankston in 1968. Mr. Larson was a retired farmer-dairyman and a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Larson and a son Ronnie Larson.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Larson and Don Larson of Frankston; three sisters, Mrs. Beula May and Mrs. Gwendolyn Lake of Reese, and Mrs. Grace Loper of Jacksonville; one granddaughter, Breann Larson of Flint; and several nieces and nephews.

Four weeks ago the family of M.M. Smith was strickened with flu, then the Mother, Mrs. M.M. Smith's flu developed into pneumonia from which she died last Saturday, the 12th. The community and many friends elsewhere will be saddened by her death. She was a useful Christian and loved by all. We sincerely sympathize with the loved ones.

Funeral services for Earl Kidd, 30, former resident of Brownsboro, who was fatally injured in an accident while at work at Vallejo, Calif., last Friday, were held at Rock Hill cemetery at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. The deceased, son of Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Kidd of Rock Hill, moved to California about four years ago.
The remains reached Brownsboro Tuesday.
Survivors include his widow, three children, Miss Ruth Kidd, Travis Kidd and Will D. Kidd, all of California; his parents; six brothers, Holland Kidd of Arizona; Paul, Verdon, Neal, Elton and Jack Kidd, all of New Hope, and three sisters, Mrs. Hudnall Olson and Mrs. Pete Welch, both of New Hope, and Mrs. Russell Hardwick of Louisiana.

Funeral services for W.C. "Smitty" Smith, 56 of the Old Longview Road, Tyler, will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Bill Eads officiating.
Burial will be in Wood Verner Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Saturday in a Galveston hospital after a long illness.
A native of Texarkana, he was a truck driver for Carr Oil Co. of Tyler. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Smith of Tyler; two sons, James Powell and Arnold Powell, both of Tyler; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Hickman, Mrs. Cindy White and Mrs. Kathy Dean, all of Tyler; and Mrs. Georgia Ann Welch of Brownsboro; his mother, Mrs. Sudie Cantrell of Antlers, Okla.; two brothers, A.L. Mary Ellen Adrian obituary
Mrs. B. B. (Mary) Adrian, 83-year-old mother of C. C. Adrian of Athens, died at her home in Grand Saline Sunday following a three month illness. Mrs. Adrian, who had visited here on many occasions, was well-known in Athens.
Funeral services were held at Grand Saline at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with interment following in the Ben Wheeler cemetery. Mrs. Adrian and her late husband had been residents of Ben Wheeler for forty years prior to his death seven years ago.
The deceased, a native of Smith county, has been a member of the Methodist church for sixty years and was well known for her activity in religious work in Van Zandt county. She was the former Miss Mary Davidson.
Five children survive. They are: C. C. Adrian, Athens; A. F. (Frank) Adrian, Grand Saline; Mrs. Rosie Corley [Colley], Ben Wheeler; Mrs. A. C. Shivers, Grand Saline, and Mrs. Omega Huddle, Goose Creek.

Mrs. Ellen Fulgham, 79, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ollie Brantley of the Flatwood community Friday evening at 5:15 o'clock Jan. 25, 1957.
Funeral services were held at the Stanger Springs Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Joe B. Stuart officiated at the services, assisted by Rev. Troy Martin and Rev. Ivy Fulgham. Interment was in Prairie Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Huff, Joe Palmer, Omer Palmer, C.W. Rector, Floyd Derrick and Coy Lambdin.
Mrs. Fulgham was born August 22, 1877 in Ben Wheeler. She was married to H.J. Fulgham. She was a member of the Stanger Springs Presbyterian Church.
Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death several years ago.
Survivors include her three daughters: Mrs. Ollie Brantley, Mrs. Lillie Stanford and Mrs. Artie Alexander of Ben Wheeler; two brothers: Oscar Morris of Terrell and Wake Morris of Edom; a sister Mrs. Lora Land of brownsboro; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Peter Lesley Smith Obituary
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for P.L. Smith,75 year
old resident of the Floyd community, who died at his home early
Saturday morning. The Rev. T.J. Fair officiated at the services which
were held at Bayou Macon church under the direction of Catron-Golden
Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
The father of 14 children, 10 of whom survive him. Mr. Smith was born
February 14, 1866 in Smith County, Miss. He moved his family to West
Carroll in 1916, settling near Pioneer in Ward 2, where he was active
in the community and church life of the parish until his health failed
several years ago.
Surviving the deceased are his wife, five sons, five daughters, one
sister, 30 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The sons are
John and Earl of Darnell, Norris of Texarkana, Ark., P.L. Jr. of Ft.
Benning, Ga. and James of Floyd community. Daughters surviving are
Mrs E.C. Smith of Oak Grove, Mrs. Paul Gentry of Darnell, Mrs. R.L.
Hooper of Floyd, Mrs. Walter Brown of Shreveport and Mrs. O.E. Materne
of Baton Rouge. One sister, Mrs. R.D. Blackwell of Taylorsville, Miss.,
also survives.

Billy Joe Wilson obituary
Billy Joe (Bill) Wilson, 75, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born April 11, 1936, in Corsicana, Texas, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mattie Wilson.
He and his wife of over 54 years, Elsie, were married April 11, 1957 and lived in Houston where Bill was a successful State Farm Insurance Agent for 44 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1955. He also served on the Aldine ISD school board for 11 years, and in 1992 Bill J. Wilson Intermediate School was named in his honor.
Bill loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, and he enjoyed collecting antiques.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Billy Wilson and wife Yolanda, Judy Tobias and husband Mike, and Nancy Wilson; four grandchildren, Ashley Duhon and husband Austin, Lindsay Underwood and husband Neal, Michael Tobias, and Jenna Davis; one great-grandchild, James Rudder Duhon, sister Peggy Smith, and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8pm on Friday, September 2, 2011 and funeral services at 11am on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379. Intombment will follow at Klein Memorial Park-Mausoleum, F.M. 2920, Tomball, Texas 77375.

Annie Minervia Coker, 93, of Corsicana, died November 27 in Corsicana. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, at Corley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Bryant officiating. burial will follow in Eureka,texas
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mccory, David Coker, Dale Coker, Jeff Coker, Gary Paul, Alon Paul, Chuck Sanches and Jay Coker. Mrs Coker was born Januarary 16,1903 in Detroit, Texas. She is survived by four sons, Bobby and Floyd Coker both of Houston, Clinton 'Jelly' Coker of Richland, and Jimmy Dee Coker, of Navarro; four daughters, Betty Sanches and Genevie Paul both of Corsicana, Lois McCary of Houston, and Lillie Laney of Ennis; a sister, Nobie Perry of Canton; 38 grandchildren; 63 great grandchilren and 17 great great grandchildren. Mrs. coker is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Authur Thomas Coker and two sons, Winston and Orion Coker.
